Waterford Pointe Conveniences: From the front gate, turn left onto Golden Lantern. If headed to the shops along PCH or Del Prado, turn right onto PCH. If headed to Dana Point Harbor, just keep rolling downhill all the way down to the Dana Point Harbor entrance. On the southwest corner of the intersection of Street of the Golden Lantern and Camino Del Avion is an Ocean Ranch shopping center anchored by Ralph’s and CVS. On the northwest corner of Golden Lantern and Camino Del Avion is another Ocean Ranch shopping center anchored by Bed Bath and Beyond, Cinepolis movie theatre, Fred’s Mexican restaurant, and Trader Joe’s groceries. The San Juan Capistrano Train Depot, the upscale Shops At Mission Viejo mall and the St. Joseph Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, and the one in South Laguna Beach, and the onramp to the Toll Road (73), and to the I-5 are all about a 10 to 15-minute drive away. There’s a Costco on El Camino Real between PCH and Stonehill, and another Costco just west of I-5’s Crown Valley exit. LAX and SAN airports are both about an hour away, and Orange County’s John Wayne (SNA) airport is about 25-minutes away.
